The Herb Chambers Companies...A Great Place to Work!
Letter to Our Readers

"You can't have happy customers without happy employees," I was recently quoted in a Providence Journal article. "How do you get people to perform and stay? There's never enough money. If you're great, why work for me? People have to feel appreciated, compensated well and given virtually unlimited opportunity for advancement. I have always tried to develop that culture within our company."
Success is embodied in our employees, every single one of them. It’s long been my view that if a company’s employees are happy and successful, the company can’t help but be the beneficiary.

2007 Jeep Patriot
All-new SUV delivers affordable off-road capability
by permission of New Car Test Drive
The all-new Jeep Patriot more than fills the bill, it defines new territory. For about $17,000 it offers 4WD Jeep capability in a compact SUV with a strong four-cylinder engine that gets an EPA-rated 25/29 mpg. The suspension is superb: stable and comfortable in all situations. Cargo capacity in the Patriot is large because all the passenger seats can easily fold flat. With a full complement of safety features, it will be hard to find more capability and value for the money.

Spider-Man 3!
Courtesy Michael Rechtshaffen for hollywoodreporter.com
The Sandman is one of the new foes Spider-Man faces in the third installment of the superhero franchise.
Left dangling for the past three years, arachnophiles everywhere finally have cause to celebrate.
The biggest (with a production budget due north of $250 million) and longest (clocking in at 139 minutes) and quite possibly the capper of a trilogy featuring the current talent lineup, "Spider-Man 3" has done it again.

2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
All-new sport utility for the adventurous
by permission of New Car Test Drive
The FJ cruiser is Toyota's newest sport utility vehicle and its most capable when it comes to getting where you want to go when there's no pavement beneath your tires. Like Hummers and Jeep Wranglers, the FJ Cruiser isn't for everyone. Not everyone will appreciate its heritage, whether in the iconic design cues brought forward in a thoroughly modern vehicle or in the way this vehicle lives up to the Land Cruiser's much deserved reputation for getting across deserts, up mountains and through swamps and jungles on continents around the globe.
But for those whose lifestyles include exploring, whether it be sandy beaches, mountain trails, secluded lakes, busy ski hills or even the urban jungle, the FJ Cruiser provides Toyota quality at a competitive price and wrapped in a unique design, inside and out.

Sparadise Found

Calling this private-island resort in the Seychelles idyllic is no exaggeration.
There's trouble in paradise. after four days on Frégate Island Private, I can't seem to find a word that better describes the resort. That's a problem because paradise is what we writers call a dead metaphor, a word repeated so often to describe the tropics that it's been used up, like the plot line of Desperate Housewives.

2007 Chevrolet Tahoe
All-new, more responsive and more responsible
by permission of New Car Test Drive
The 2007 Chevy Tahoe is all-new, a full-size SUV that gets more than 20 miles per gallon. Chevrolet introduced the Tahoe nameplate in the mid-1990s as the full-size version of what had been the Blazer, a two-door sport utility vehicle. Tahoe's popularity soared in 2000 when it became a purpose-built, full-size four-door and family-oriented SUV known within GM as the GMT 800.
Now, for 2007, comes the next generation, so new and improved that even its internal designation has changed to GMT 900. The 2007 Chevy Tahoe has better steering and braking response, Displacement on Demand engine technology and enhanced safety features that make it an attractive choice among full-size SUVs.

"As I grew up, I knew that as a building Fenway Park was on the level of Mount Olympus, the Pyramid at Giza, the nation's capitol, the czar's Winter Palace, and the Louvre — except, of course, that is better than all those inconsequential places."
- Baseball Commissioner Bart Giamatti
