The Promise of Spring Kept; 2009
Just a few months ago; I mentioned in this column that we at Herb Chambers, were approaching the New Year at “full-speed” proceeding with several exciting new construction and facilities renovation projects. Well, here we are in early 2009 and we are proud to announce two new facilities up and running! They are Herb Chambers Porsche of Burlington & Audi Burlington -- a brand new 40,000 square foot dealership built to house some of the world’s finest luxury sports and performance cars and Herb Chambers Ford Truck center, an all new 70,000 sq. ft. truck service and collision center with a state of the art body shop.

2009 Audi A4
All-new, with improved driving dynamics.

 The 2009 Audi A4 is a new car, as closely related to the recent A5 as to the outgoing A4. At once familiar as an Audi yet obviously new, it is what you can't see that is most changed.
The 2009 A4 is wider and longer but no taller than its predecessor. It's larger inside with the most notable improvement to rear-seat legroom and it has a bigger trunk that is easier to load. A large increase in wheelbase, which is more than six inches longer than before, increases cabin space and improves ride quality and handling.

 In Depth: 10 Great Port Picks When Bartholomew Broadbent, a wine importer and one of the world's leading authorities on port, started holding tastings and giving talks about his favorite drink a couple decades ago, the only people in attendance, he says, were stodgy old men.
But as time went on, the crowds got younger and the gender demographics began to balance. When Broadbent conducted a tasting a couple of years ago for a group of 20-something women, called the Spinsters of San Francisco, he knew port had broken free of its fusty, dusty image.

Movie Review: Watchmen

 Transforming Watchmen, one of the most lauded comic series of all time, into a movie is as ambitious an undertaking as anyone in Hollywood is likely to attempt. For more than 20 years, a variety of people (including Terry Gilliam, Darren Aronofsky, and Paul Greengrass) have been involved and all have backed off when faced with the enormity of the task. The team to finally get it done is headed by 300 director Zack Snyder. Whether Watchmen will become known as "Snyder's Folly" remains to be seen. Snyder may have replicated the narrative faithfully (with the exception of a change to a climactic plot device) and re-created the dark look of the comic books, but...

2009 Ford Focus

 The 2009 Ford Focus lineup features a sporty new coupe version. This comes on the heels of a reworking of the Ford Focus lineup for 2008. And all models benefit from the availability of electronic stability control for 2009.
Ford reworked the Focus for 2008, giving it new styling inside and out, while maintaining the same platform and basic size. The design shares a family look with Ford's other cars, distinguished by a two-bar version of the company's characteristic razor-blade grille.
